I thought I’d introduce or reintroduce myself since this platform is totally brand, spanking new to me.
Here goes with twenty random facts about me.
General: Megan, Married, 32, Two children, Mancunian
Cutting my hair short was the best move I’ve made in a long time… Hello confidence
I am VERY VERY broody right now. Anyone with 3 children please let me know what it’s like…
I go to sleep thinking about my morning coffee and wake up thinking about my morning coffee. Bonus: my coffee order is an iced oat milk latte sometimes with honey, sometimes with hazelnut, sometimes with neither
I have at least three baths a week. It’s the only way I can unwind after a busy day
I am totally addicted to my emotional support water bottle and drink at least 3 full bottles of water every day. I am also totally addicted to Kewpie, jacket potatoes and iced coffee, craving all of the above several times a week/day
I haven’t read a book (aside from one about potty training) for over a year and it’s something I really dislike about myself! How do people find time in the day to read? I miss it.
If I can, I will always add anchovies to my pizza no matter what the other toppings are saying
I love clothes and styling so much but I often fantasise about having a capsule wardrobe. I’m a maximalist who dreams of being a minimalist
The births of my two children were both so different but both positive and by far the most euphoric days of my life and I will never, ever take that for granted.
I’m really scared of crossing roads. I will never cross a road without going to a crossing unless I am forced (usually by my sister)
I’d love to have a hobby but STILL, 12 years later, think of my job as a creator as a hobby as I enjoy it SO much, which is so lovely. However, it would be nice to have something else outside of work and being a mum and taking baths.
We are currently renovating our third home and it’s very slow and it drives me mad every single day. My old house was my dream home and I know I can make this home just as gorgeous, despite it being TOTALLY different, but I am very, very impatient. I guess that’s another fact about me…
I am very impatient
Being late makes me feel physically sick
My husband was in a band that I loved as a teenager. We met when I was 17, lost touch and reconnected when I was 23. I had posters of him on my wall at 14 and now I pick up his socks on a daily basis, funny eh. All jokes aside, he is such a magical man <3
I would love to move abroad for a few months during the summertime with my family. I find myself fantasising about this often, maybe Mallorca or Portugal or Ibiza or something, wouldn’t that be just gorgeous!
I am currently absolutely OBSESSED and fixated on the P Diddy case, anyone else? TikTok has got me in a chokehold.
My celebrity crushes include Milo Ventimiglia, Rami Malek, Robert Pattinson and Harry Styles but mostly Milo Ventimiglia.
When I like a song or an album I will listen to nothing else for days/weeks/months on end and it drives everyone around me absolutely potty.

Of course I couldn’t leave a newsletter without doing my top picks of the internet for the week…

And lastly, here’s what you might have missed this week.
Over on the blog we’re talking all things tartan and how reliable it is every A/W, meaning it’s a goodie to invest in. I’ve also done a whole shopping list of tartan pieces from the high street as there are some FAB pieces available right now.
On TikTok I shared an ADORABLE video of my little boy and how he pronounces certain words at 15 months, we have a gorgeous Baum Und Pferdgarten unboxing & try on and of course the usual GRWMS, this time with a rain-day aesthetic (FFS)
And over on Instagram we visited my loft to uncover some of my jacket collection ready for autumn, I shared a video in collaboration with French Connection that featured 6 outfits made out of one base, a video I LOVED putting together. A vlog of my short hair transformation and of course the usual outfit posts and musings.
That’s all for this week, hope you enjoyed and as always please let me know if you have any feedback.

Feel like Faye would have good tips, but my tip for reading more is just read a page or 2 if that's all the time you have. It adds up and even 1 book a year would reach your goal of reading more. Also habit stack it. Add it to a habit you already do and read before getting in bed, or after you wash up, or after morning coffee. Even if it's just only one day a week and you read a couple pages on Sundays. Just some tips to read more if you want to read your own thing – I think reading books with/to your kids still totally counts :)
